Dr. Olenick grew up in the Vancouver area and trained and competed in dressage in the Fraser Valley.  Her interest in horses grew and after she received her B.Sc. in Agriculture she attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Danica’s interests include dentistry, foal medicine, reproduction, lameness and general veterinary practice.  Her professional memberships include AAEP (American association of Equine Practitioners) BCVMA ( British Columbia Veterinary Medical Association) and the CVMA (Canadian Veterinary Medical Association). 

Danica brings a broad range of personal experience to the Elk Lake Veterinary Hospital including professional exposures in the US, Africa, and last year, experience at an equine reproduction and neonatal practice in the Fraser Valley.

Danica has two cats, Mia and Moa who compete for her attention at home and a dog, Casey,  who travels with her on farm calls.
